The Department was established since July 2005. Previous Head was Dr Shinjini Sarana working from July 2005 till July 2014. Currently Dr. Avijeet Chatterjee is HOD since July 2014 till date. Faculty is having Mr Anuj Singh as guest faculty.

Welcome to the Department of Botany, where we explore the fascinating world of plants and their vital role in sustaining life on Earth. Our department is committed to providing students with a comprehensive understanding of plant science, from cellular biology to ecology. Through hands-on research and fieldwork, we empower students to become future botanists, conservationists, and environmental stewards.
Our Academic Programmes
B.Sc. Biology
- Duration : 3 Years
- Level : Undergraduate
- Eligibility: Passed in Science with minimum 50% marks in aggregate at 10+2 level with Biology as one of the subjects
- Avg Fees : ₹12,000 / Year
B.Sc. Maths
- Duration : 3 Years
- Level : Undergraduate
- Eligibility: Passed in Science with minimum 50% marks in aggregate at 10+2 level with Mathematics as one of the subjects
