Department at a Glance

The Department of Chemistry was established in 2005. It is since then engaged in providing highest level and quality of academic education. Department is committed to fostering a culture of curosity, innovation, and scholarly inquiry. The focus of the teaching in the department is centered on interdisciplinary themes which have gained wide attention and appreciation. The principal mission of the department is to generate human resource of excellent quality, including chemists for national needs. This is one of the largest department of the science faculty with strength of over 350 undegraduate & 30 Post Graduate students. The department is equipped with instruments known and required to carry out chemistry experiment. Our Vision is to impart education that fosters freedom of thought, encouraging creativity that drives research. By learning from historical discoveries and engaging in advancements in Chemistry, students develop the skills to innovate and contribute meaningfully to the scientific community.

M.Sc. Chemistry
Duration : 2 Years
Eligibility/Qualification :
For M.Sc. One(01) Year – 4-year B.Sc. with minimum 50% marks or 5.0 CGPA.
For M.Sc. Two(02) Year – 3-year B.Sc. with minimum 50% marks or 5.0 CGPA.
Seats : 30
Selection Criterion : On merit basis
Fees : Rs. 16,000 per semester

B.Sc. Chemistry
Duration : 3 Years
Eligibility/Qualification :
10+2 from a recognized board (CBSE, ISC, UP Board, etc.) with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
Seats : As per university norms
Admission Process : Merit-based or through entrance test followed by counseling.
Age Limit : As per University of Lucknow norms.
